Introduction

Issue that this hotfix package fixes

  • When you print a slide that contains a picture in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007, the printed image is very fuzzy in comparison to when you print the same slide in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003.
  • The horizontal axis of a chart is not rendered correctly after you change the base unit.
  • Multilevel category labels are not displayed correctly in a Pivot chart.
  • When you print a presentation to a non-PostScript-based printer without selecting the Scale to fit paper check box , some parts of the slide are not printed.
  • After you apply Microsoft Office Suite 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2), Office PowerPoint 2007 does not display certain slides in presentations.
  • Consider the following scenario. You insert a text box into the header area or into the footer area of a Microsoft Office Word document. Then, you insert a chart that has shadowing effect enabled in the document. In this scenario, the text in the text box is not printed when you print the document to a PostScript-based printer.

To enable this fix, you need to set the following registry entry to 1:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Common\OartDisableTilingForPostscriptPrinters
  • After you apply Office Suite 2007 SP2, Office Excel 2007 is very slow when you scroll a worksheet that contains graphs.
  • Consider the following scenario. You insert an Office Excel 2007 chart object from a file into an Office Word document. Then, you export the document as a PDF file. In this scenario, the chart marks are scaled incorrectly.
  • Consider the following scenario. You copy and paste a chart from Office Excel 2007 to Office PowerPoint 2007. Then, while the first chart is selected in Office PowerPoint 2007, you copy and paste a second chart from Office Excel 2007 to Office PowerPoint 2007 with the Excel Chart (entire workbook) option selected. In this scenario, the second chart is deleted when you paste the second chart. However, the objects from the second chart still remain in the first chart.
