Symptoms

On a Windows-based computer, you use Windows Internet Explorer 8 to view a Web site. The Web site uses local storage to record a user's data in the localStorage attribute.

Occasionally, the user's data in local storage is lost or incomplete. In this situation, you encounter an issue that is related to local storage in the Web site.

Cause

The issue occurs because the localStorage attribute is deleted unexpectedly. This issue frequently occurs on a computer that has a single core processor.
