To resolve this problem, apply the following hotfix on the computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2 before you install Commerce Server 2009.
This hotfix does not update any files on your computer. This hotfix will create the registry entries that are required by the Commerce Server 2009 installer. If the required registry entries already exist, the system will display the following message:
You don't need to apply this patch to this machine.
We strongly recommend that you remove this hotfix after you have successfully installed Commerce Server 2009. You can uninstall the hotfix by using the
Programs and Features item in Control Panel.
