ISA Server 2006 Management Console crashes when you use the Test button of a Web publishing rule to verify the connectivity to the published Web server

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • In Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2006, you configure a Web publishing rule.
  • You click the Test button to verify the connectivity to the published Web server.
  • The Web server replies with a "302 Moved Temporarily" response that contains a location header that resembles the following:

    Location: /<mypath>/<mypage.htm>


    Note The path in the location header is relative, not absolute.
In this scenario, ISA Server 2006 Management Console may crash.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, apply the hotfix rollup package that is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
