After you generate an MPIO configuration report on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2, some the text in the report is not readable

Symptoms

On a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2, you generate a Microsoft Multipath I/O (MPIO) configuration report by using the graphical user interface (GUI) or by running the MPCLAIM �v command. However, some the text in the report is not readable.

Cause

This issue occurs when you try to generate the MPIO configuration report on a computer that uses a multibyte character set.

Workaround

To work around this issue, use one of the following methods.

Method 1

Temporarily change the current character set of the computer to a non-multibyte character set, such as English.

Method 2

Instead of saving the actual configuration report, configuration information can be displayed on a per-disk basis by running the following command:
MPCLAIM �s �d disknumber
You can also use this workaround to capture the configuration on a per-disk basis to a text file. To do this, run the following command:
MPCLAIM �s �d disknumber > C:\filename.txt
