Symptoms

When you try to view the Totals information or the Sales Tax information of a sales order in the Sales order dialog box in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009, you experience slow performance. This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
  • A sales invoice contains around 400 or more line items.
  • Each line item uses a different sales tax group.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, change the CacheLookup property of the TaxGroupHeading table. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Application Object Tree.
  2. Expand Data Dictionary, and then expand Tables.
  3. Right-click TaxGroupHeading, and then click Properties.
  4. Change the value of the CacheLookup property to FoundAndEmpty.
  5. Restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service.
