In an application that implements the Windows Imaging Component, some scaled reads of the cropped portion of an image may not read the correct rectangle in Windows Vista or in Windows Server 2008

On a computer that is running Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008, you use an application that implements the Windows Imaging Component (WIC). In this scenario, some scaled reads of the cropped part of an image that depend on interpolation do not read the correct rectangle.

This problem occurs because the IWICBitmapScaler::CopyPixels method only returns the correct pixels for sub-rectangles when the Fant interpolation is used. Other interpolations always return pixels that correspond to a rectangle whose x-axis and y-axis are zero.

Hotfix information
