After you install Windows Live Movie Maker on a Windows Server 2008-based computer, Windows Live Movie Maker crashes or does not start.

Windows Live Movie Maker will run on Windows Server 2008, because it installs the standard�VGA driver by default.

To resolve this issue, install the Desktop Experience feature of Windows Server 2008.
To do this, follow these steps:
- Click Start, click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Server Manager.
- In Server Manager under Features Summary, click Add Features.
- In the Add Features Wizard dialog box, make sure that the Desktop Experience option is selected.
- Click Next, and then click Install.
- After the installation process is complete, click Close, and then close Server Manager.
- Restart the computer.
