You have to re-enter user credentials after you send credentials through the XMLHttpRequest object and view the page in a new tab in Internet Explorer 8

In Internet Explorer 8, the user credentials that are sent through the XMLHttpRequest object are not shared to other tab processes in the same Internet Explorer window.

Consider the following scenario:

• You use Internet Explorer 8 to access a Web page.
• You send an authenticated XMLHttpRequest object to authenticate the Internet Explorer session.

In this scenario, when you open a new tab in the same Internet Explorer window, and open the same Web page, you are prompted again for the user credentials.
