The "<Papersize> not loaded in any tray" message is displayed in the print queue when you try to print a document in Windows Vista or in Windows Server 2008

You cannot print a document on a computer that is running Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008. Additionally, when you double-click the Print icon in the task bar to check the print queue, you receive the following message in the Status section:Note A4 is the paper size. However, there are other paper sizes.

This problem occurs if both of following conditions are true:

• You select the Hold mismatched documents option on the Advanced tab of the Properties windows of the printer.
• The printer driver user interface (UI) plug-in uses the full UI replacement functionality.

This problem occurs when you select the Hold mismatched documents option. In this scenario, the printer driver�s interface DLL determines whether a specified print job is compatible with the current configuration of the printer and if it can be printed from the DevQueryPrintEx function. If the specified print job is incompatible with the current configuration of the printer, it is held in a queue and is not sent to the printer.

On a computer that is running Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008, both the Unidrvui.dll file and the Ps5ui.dll file check whether the requested form or tray is available by looking at the form-to-tray assignment table. The form-to-tray table for the printer is stored in the following private registry entry:



However, if a printer driver UI plug-in does the full UI replacement of the Device property, the Unidrvui.dll file and the Ps5ui file cannot write the form-to-tray table for the printer into the registry. Therefore, the printer driver UI plug-in cannot manage this private registry entry.

Finally, when you select the Hold mismatched documents option, the check box for the form-to-tray assignment table and the printing do not work.
