Consider the following scenario:
- You create a linked server from SQL Server 2005 or SQL Server 2008 to an ODBC data source using Microsoft OLEDB provider for ODBC drivers (MSDASQL) in SQL Server Management Studio.
- You try to use the 'Script Table as' option on one of the tables on the linked server in the SQL Server Management studio.
In this scenario, you will receive the folowing error message in the second step:
[LinkedServer].[ DatabaseName].[dbo].[TableName] contains no columns that can be selected or the current user does not have permissions on that object.
