Extender Inquiry on Journal Entry Inquiry form and Transaction_Scroll window does not display data from Transaction Entry form and Transaction_Scroll Extender Window

SYMPTOMS

When you create an Extender Inquiry window based on an Extender Window for the Transaction Entry Scroll window and Journal Entry Inquiry Scroll window, data does not display on the inquiry.

CAUSE

On the Transaction Entry form and the Transaction_Scroll window, you use Sequence Line and Journal Entry for the keys. On the Transaction Entry Inquiry form and Transaction_Scroll window, there is no Sequence Line field on the window. The Transaction_Scroll window on the Transaction Entry Inquiry form has a field that is named Sequence Number that contains the same information but the Dynamics dictionary does not expose this field to the Extender dictionary. Because of this, we cannot use the Sequence Line field on the Extender window if you want to create an Inquiry to display the data.

RESOLUTION

The only option is to experiment with different fields as the second key for the Transaction_Scroll , such as Account Number or Distribution Reference fields.
