Install Internet Explorer 8 on Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008-based computers

To download and Install Internet Explorer 8 follow the steps listed below:

����1. Visit the following Microsoft Web site:

Windows Internet Explorer 8 for Windows Vista�

����2. Click the Download button on the page to start the download, or select a different language from the Change language list, and then click Go

����3. Follow one of these steps:

To start the installation immediately, click Run

To save the download to your computer for installation later, click Save� and browse to the location where you want to save the file and then double-click the saved file when ready to install

Important: Restart your computer when the installation is complete.�

Install Internet Explorer 8 on Windows XP and Windows Server 2003-based computers

To download and Install Internet Explorer 8 follow the steps listed below:

����1. Visit the following Microsoft Web site:

����3. Follow one of these steps:

Installing Internet Explorer 8 on a Windows Vista (non-SP1) computers

To Install Internet Explorer on Vista RTM first make sure your computer is up to date. To check for updates, follow these steps:

����1. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button, clicking All Programs , and then clicking Windows Update

����2. In the left pane, click Check for updates, and then wait while Windows looks for the latest updates for your computer

����3. If any updates are found, click Install updates. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation

Note: Install all updates now to make sure that Internet Explorer has everything it has to have to install properly.�

����4. Restart your computer once the installation has completed
