Commerce Server 2007 Staging Services does not replicate modifications or deletions of multiple choice catalog property definitions

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

When you remove or change a value of a multiple choice property in a source catalog in Microsoft Commerce Server 2007, and then you update the changes to a destination catalog, the change is not updated successfully. This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
  • You are replicating changes from a source catalog to a destination catalog.
  • The source catalog has a schema that contains a multiple choice property.
Specifically, if a value is deleted in the source catalog schema, the value still appears in the destination catalog schema. If a value is changed in the source catalog schema, the original value still appears in destination catalog schema. However, a new entry that has the updated value is also created.

Cause

This problem occurs because of a problem with the way that Commerce Server 2007 handles the import data for deletion and modification of multiple choice property values.
