You have to enter user credentials again even if you select the "Remember my password" option when you connect to the TS Gateway server from a Windows Vista SP1-based or Windows Server 2008-based Remote Desktop Connection 6.1 client

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  1. From a Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1)-based or Windows Server 2008-based Remote Desktop Connection 6.1 client, you connect to remote computers or to Terminal Services RemoteApp (TS RemoteApp) applications through a Terminal Server (TS) Gateway server.
  2. You select the Remember my password option to save the user credentials when you connect to the TS Gateway server.
In this case, if there is a network outage that prevents the connection to the TS Gateway server, you may encounter the Enter your credentials prompt dialog box when you try to re-connect to the TS Gateway server after the network connection is restored. Therefore, you have to enter the user credentials again.
