Cause

When you use ISA Server 2006 to publish an HTTP web server with deactivated Link translation in the publishing rule and browse the published URL, the traffic gets redirected unexpected from HTTP to HTTPS for specific links to sub folders for this published site.

Resolution

ISA will apply link translation for any published web site even though link translation is disabled in the publishing rule, if link translation is enabled globally.

Therefore, it may happen that link translation performs unexpected redirects from http to https.
