Action

When mounting an NTFS Volume, the system may hang.�

The system is unresponsive in a hung state.�

Cause

This is due to a known race condition that can cause a deadlock in the NTFS filesystem.�

Resolution



The system needs to be rebooted to recover from the unresponsive state.� This is under review for possible resolution in future product versions.�

This situation has only been seen rarely while stress testing NTFS volumes.� For example: A stress test that repeatedly mounts and unmounts�NTFS filesystem�volumes for an extended period of time.�
