FIX: The BizTalk Server 2006 R2 FTP adapter randomly stops retrieving files from an FTP server until you restart the BizTalk host instance

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 R2, you use an FTP adapter that connects to an FTP server to retrieve some files. You may find that the FTP receive location randomly stops retrieving files. When this occurs, you do not receive an error message or a warning message in the Application log. Additionally, the FTP receive location does not respond. To make the FTP receive location work again, you have to restart BizTalk host instance.

Note If you use a network monitor tool, such as Network Monitor, to monitor the traffic between BizTalk Server and the FTP Server, you find that no packets are sent to the FTP Server.
