You receive a Stop error message some time after you use a 32-bit installer to install an NDIS intermediate driver on a computer that runs a 64-bit version of Windows Server 2003

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You install a Network Driver Interface Specification (NDIS) intermediate driver on a computer that runs a 64-bit version of Windows Server 2003.
  • You use a 32-bit installer to install this driver.
  • The driver's service name is more than nine characters.
In this scenario, you receive the following Stop error message some time after the installation:
Stop 0x000000C5 (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)
DRIVER_CORRUPTED_EXPOOL
Notes
  • The parameters in the Stop error message vary, depending on the computer's configuration.
  • You may also receive other Stop error messages when this problem occurs.
