What Does the All Periods Initialized Check Box Do?

More Information

When the All Periods Initialized check box is selected, Microsoft FRx assumes that there will always be a balance record for each account in each period. This feature is only used for YTD amounts. When the All Periods Initialized check box is selected, FRx pulls the YTD balance based on the appropriate period number. If FRx does not find a record for the specific period, the YTD balance is assumed to be zero (0). When the All Periods Initialized check box is not selected, FRx sums activity from the current period and all prior periods for the current fiscal year.It is necessary to understand how the data are stored in the tables from which FRx is retrieving data in order to understand whether this check box should be selected. If the check box is set incorrectly, it is possible to receive incorrect YTD balances.Note: This option is only available for specific general ledgers and in the FRx Demo Companies (FW (Fabrikam Works, Inc) and FWC (Fabrikam Works Canada, Inc.).
