Symptoms

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled. Process id=0xc48(3144), Thread id=0x29c(668).Click OK to terminate the application.Click Cancel to debug the application.This error occurs when starting the Analytical Accounting Wizard from the FRx v6.7 Program Group on a Windows 2003 Server.

Cause

This is a Code Access Security issue. This stand-alone application does not modify any .NET framework to allow for this to run successfully.

Resolution

1. Install FRx Report Manager or FRx Report Wizard to the Windows 2003 Server install of FRx. This will install the .NET Framework 1.1 and will modify the code access security to enable this application to operate without error.2. The exception is caused from not having permissions to the Local Intranet Zone. Add the Windows 2003 server as a web site to the zone and this exception does not occur.
