Solution A
Replace the Vbscript.dll on the workstation. To have us fix this problem for you, go to the "

Fix it for me
To fix this problem automatically, click the
Fix this problem link. Then click
Run in the
File Download dialog box, and follow the steps in this wizard.
Note This wizard may be in English only; however, the automatic fix also works for other language versions of Windows.
Note If you are not on the computer that has the problem, you can save the automatic fix to a flash drive or a CD so that you can run it on the computer that has the problem.

Let me fix it myself
To replace the Vbscript.dll, follow these steps:
- Log on to the workstation as an Administrator.
- Locate the VBscript.dll file in the C:\Windows\System32 folder.
- Register the DLL by using C:\Windows\System32\REGSVR32:
- On the workstation, click Start, and then click Run.
- Type REGSVR32 C:\Windows\System32\VBscript.dll, and then click OK.
- Restart the workstation.

Solution B
If Solution A fails, follow these steps:
- On the workstation desktop, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
- Click the General tab, and then note the operating system version and the service pack information.
- Locate another computer that has the same operating system version and service pack level.
- Copy the C:\Windows\System32\Vbscript.dll file from the second computer to a temporary location.
- On the nonworking computer, close all applications.
- In the C:\Windows\System32 folder, locate the Vbscript.dll file.
- Unregister the VBscript.dll file by using C:\Windows\System32\REGSVR32:
- On the workstation, click Start, and then click Run.
- Type REGSVR32 -u C:\Windows\System32\VBscript.dll.
- Click OK.
- Right-click C:\Windows\System32\VBscript.dll, and then rename it C:\Windows\System32\VBscript.dll.bak.
- Copy the VBscript.dll file from the temporary location to C:\Windows\System32 on the workstation where this problem occurs.
- Register the DLL by using C:\Windows\System32\REGSVR32:
- On the workstation, click Start, and then click Run.
- Type REGSVR32 C:\Windows\System32\VBscript.dll, and then click OK.
- Restart the workstation.
