E-mail message attachments are not viewable in Outlook 2003 if you use the AddProps method of the ITnef interface to add properties to the TNEF message that contains multiple embedded attachments

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • In an Exchange Server 2003 environment, you are using a MAPI or CDO applications to perform message operations
  • You use the "AddProps" method of the ITnef interface to add properties to a TNEF message that contains multiple embedded attachments.
In this scenario, the resulting message stream may be malformed. Therefore, the message will have attachments that are corrupted and not viewable in Microsoft Outlook 2003.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, download and install the Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and Collaboration Data Objects 1.2.1 package in the following Microsoft Web site:
