Symptoms

You are using Intercompany company that has an item which uses Configuration, Size, or Color dimension in Microsoft Dynamics AX. When you click Intercompany on-hand for the intercompany item in the On-hand inventory dialog box, you receive an error message that resembles the following:
Company Item does not exist for XXXXXX.


This problem may even occur after you apply hotfix 959099.

Workaround

To avoid encountering this issue, define the "Company Item" data on the each combination of the following dimensions:
  • Configuration
  • Size
  • Color
You also have to define the "Company Item" data on the item itself.
