FIX: You cannot configure BizTalk Accelerator for RosettaNet 3.5 when you log on to the server by using a user account from the trusted domain or when you use a named instance of SQL Server for the configuration

Symptoms

Symptom 1

Consider the following scenario:
  • You install Microsoft BizTalk Accelerator for RosettaNet 3.5 on a domain's member server that is running Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 R2.
  • The BizTalk Server Administrators universal security group that is configured on the domain contains a user account from a trusted domain.
  • You log on to the server that is running BizTalk Server by using the user account from the trusted domain.
In this scenario, you cannot configure BizTalk Accelerator for RosettaNet 3.5. Additionally, you receive an error message that resembles the following when you try to start the BizTalk Accelerator for RosettaNet 3.5 Configuration Wizard:
You need to be a BizTalk Administrator.

Symptom 2

If you try to configure BizTalk Accelerator for RosettaNet 3.5 by using a named instance of Microsoft SQL Server, you cannot configure BizTalk Accelerator for RosettaNet 3.5. You do not receive an error message or notification. When you analyze the configuration log, you find an entry that resembles the following:
[<Time> Error ConfigHelper] Windows NT user or group <SQLServer>\<SQLInstance>\BizTalk Application Users' not found.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, apply this hotfix before you configure BizTalk Accelerator for RosettaNet 3.5. For detailed installation instructions, refer to the Readme.txt file that is contained in the hotfix package.

You must have the following software installed before you apply this hotfix:
  • Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 R2
  • Microsoft BizTalk Accelerator for RosettaNet 3.5

Restart requirement

You do not have to restart the server that is running BizTalk Server after you apply this hotfix.

This hotfix does not replace any other hotfixes.
