Event ID 5740 and event ID 5754 may be logged when the BizTalk SQL Adapter is under heavy load on a Windows Server 2008-based multiprocessor computer

You are running Microsoft BizTalk Server on a Windows Server 2008-based multiprocessor computer. When the BizTalk SQL Adapter is under heavy load, the following events may be logged in the Application log:

This problem occurs because a race condition occurs in the Ole32.dll file when a COM object is being marshaled and released.

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, it is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.
