FIX: A hotfix is available for BizTalk Accelerator for SWIFT 2008 Message Pack to resolve several issues that are related to SWIFT message validation

A hotfix is available for Microsoft BizTalk Accelerator for SWIFT 2008 Message Pack to resolve several issues that are related to SWIFT message validation. This hotfix resolves the following issues and includes the following updates.

Issue 1

Message type MT506 fails the Business Rule Engine (BRE) validation. The messages that contain the wrong currency code may be passed as valid.

Issue 2

Message type MT056 has an incorrect implementation of the schema. Additionally, message type MT056 does not open in a Business Activity Services (BAS) site.

Issue 3

The following message types may fail the BRE validation:

• Message type MT305 (field 37K)
• Message type MT306 (field 37K)
• Message type MT516 (field 33T)
• Message type MT559 (fields 33T and 35U)
• Message type MT601 (field 33B)

This issue occurs because the SwiftNetworkRuleT74_policy.xml file is not deployed. When the issue occurs, event ID 4099 is logged in the Application log. For example, the following event is logged in Application log:

Event Category: None
Event ID: 4099
Description:
Unable to retrieve or an unexpected error occurred while executing BRE validation policy. If this is unexpected, confirm that the policy was deployed and try again. Error: An exception occurred inside the rule engine instance executing policy "DBConnection_Master_Policy."

Update 1

This hotfix updates the master policies for the following message types:

• Message type MT964
• Message type MT965
• Message type MT966
• Message type MT967

Update 2

When an error occurs during the BRE validation, you may receive a generic exception error message that resembles the following: This hotfix updates this error message. The updated error message includes more specific information about the field, the message name, or the validation policy name. The specific information depends on the error that occurs and the message type that fails.
