Only the header and footer information in an XPS document are printed when you print the document on a computer that is running Windows XP, Windows Vista SP1, or Windows Server 2008

Symptoms

When you print a document on a computer that is running Windows XP, Windows Vista SP1, or Windows Server 2008, only the header and footer information is printed in the document.

This problem occurs most frequently when you use the XPS Document Writer.

This problem occurs because an internal GDI structure is not initialized correctly when a print job is processed.

Hotfix information

Windows XP A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
