Symptom



Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) clients configured to stream content from Application Virtualization 4.5 are not able to launch applications and the following error is logged in the Application Event log:

The package requested could not be found in the system data store or the files associated with this package could not be found on the server. Report the following error code to your System Administrator.

Cause



The Application Virtualization Content is located on a network share and the PackageRoot value for the Application Virtualization 4.5 Streaming Server is configured to use a mapped drive.

Resolution



Specify the PackageRoot value as a UNC path, such as \\<server name>\<share name>, and then restart the Application Virtualization Streaming Server service.
