Symptom

An event similar to the following may logged on all domain controllers (regardless of whether they are full domain controllers or RODCs) when the DFSR sysvol migration state is moved to ELIMINATED:

Log Name: DFS Replication

Source: DFSR

Date: DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM:SS AM/PM

Event ID: 8004

Task Category: None

Level: Information

Keywords: Classic

User: N/A

Computer: DNS.NAME

Description:

The NTFRS member object for the Read-only Domain Controller <HOSTNAME> was deleted successfully.

The event can be misleading because the domain controller referenced in the event may not actually be a Read-only Domain Controller. If this is the case, the event can be safely ignored.
