To work around this problem, follow these steps:
- Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
- Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Configuration Manager\
- In the details pane, right-click
ProtectedStorage, and then click Modify.
NoteIf the ProtectedStorage registry entry does not exist, you must create it. To do this, follow these steps:
- On the Edit menu, point to
New, and then click DWORD Value. - Type ProtectedStorage, and then press ENTER.
- In the Base box, click
Decimal, type 0 in the Value data box, and then click OK. - Exit Registry Editor.
- Restart the computer.
