BizTalk Server Operators group members cannot terminate service instances successfully in the BizTalk Administration Console in BizTalk Server 2006

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

You have a computer that is running Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006. As a member of the BizTalk Server Operators group, you terminate service instances in the BizTalk Server Administration Console. However, you receive an error message that resembles the following:
The INSERT permission was denied on object TrackingData_x_y, database BizTalkMsgBoxDB, schema dbo.

Notes
  • x and y in the TrackingData_x_y tables are integers from 0 through 3.
  • If you try to terminate a single instance, the instance is terminated and you receive the error message that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section of this Microsoft Knowledge Base article. If you try to terminate two or more instances at the same time, only the first instance is terminated.
  • The issue does not occur if the user is also a member of the BizTalk Server Administrators group.
