FIX: You cannot select two or more maps that have source schemas that belong to the same multi-root schema file on the same send or on the same receive port in BizTalk Server 2006 R2

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 R2:
  • You create a BizTalk application that contains a schema file that has multiple root nodes.
  • In the BizTalk application, you create two or more maps that specify their source schemas from the same multi-root schema file.
  • You select one map as an inbound map on a receive port or as an outbound map on a send port.
In this scenario, you cannot select other maps that have source schemas that have the same multi-root schema file on the same port.

For example, you perform the following actions:
  • You create a file that is named Schema1.xsd. Schema1.xsd contains root node A and root node B.
  • You create a map called A2C.btm. In this map, the source schema is from root node A in Schema1.xsd. Then, you create a map called B2D.btm, in which the source schema is from root node B in Schema1.xsd.
  • You select A2C.btm as an inbound map on receive port 1.
In this example, you cannot select B2D.btm as the inbound map on receive port 1.
