Symptoms

Consider the following scenario. You have a Windows Server 2003-based computer that has a network adapter installed, and this network adapter has a large bandwidth. However, the computer becomes unresponsive when a high volume of traffic runs through the network adapter. For example, this problem occurs when a high volume of traffic runs through a 10-gigabyte (GB) network adapter.

Resolution

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, it is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Windows Server 2003 service pack that contains this hotfix.
