FIX: Error message when the EDI pipeline receives files that contain the 00503 control version number in BizTalk Server 2006 R2: "Error: 1 (Miscellaneous error)"

When the electronic data interchange (EDI) pipeline receives files that contain the 00503 control version number in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 R2, you receive an error message that resembles the following:

This problem occurs because the X12 ISA12 interchange control version number in BizTalk Server 2006 R2 does not list the 00503 standard. BizTalk Server 2006 R2 does not include the X12 00503 schemas.

Hotfix information

The English version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.

ISA12 is a field in EDI configuration that specifies the schema version number. EDI schema version 00503 in BizTalk Server 2006 R2 is not added to the ISA12 enumeration list. After you apply this hotfix, EDI schema version 00503 is added to the ISA12 enumeration list.
