Problem description

If you change the Appointments font setting for the calendar in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, the new font setting is not used when you print the calendar.

To resolve this problem, follow these steps:
  1. How to obtain the hotfix

    This issue is fixed in the Outlook 2007 post-Service Pack 1 hotfix package that is dated September 24, 2008. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Fix it for me

To enable the hotfix automatically, click the

File Downloaddialog box, and then follow the steps in the Fix it wizard.

How to enable the hotfix

  1. Exit Outlook 2007.
  2. Start Registry Editor.
    • In Windows Vista, click the Start button , type regedit in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.

      User Account Control permission If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or provide confirmation.
    • In Windows XP, click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click
      OK.
  3. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Printing
  4. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
  5. Type DisableFontScaling, and then press ENTER.
  6. Right-click DisableFontScaling, and then click Modify.
  7. In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
  8. On the File menu, click Exit to exit Registry Editor.

  1. Open the calendar in Outlook 2007.
  2. On the File menu, click Print.
  3. In the Print dialog box, click Page Setup under Print style.
  4. On the Format tab, change the Appointments font to the font that you want to use.
