View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

In BizTalk Server, you may see the following symptoms:
  • After you deploy many artifacts to the BizTalkMgmtDb database, re-importing an .msi file may take a very long time.
  • When you try to import a BizTalk application in BizTalk Administration, the import operation is unsuccessful. Additionally, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:

Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to obtaining a connection from the pool. This may have occurred because all pooled connections were in use and max pool size was reached. (Microsoft.BizTalk.ExplorerOM)

More information

After you apply this hotfix and then re-import an .msi file that contains a map, BizTalk Server checks whether the map is referenced by a send port. If the map is not referenced by a send port, no send-port-related data is populated. Therefore, performance improves.
