You upgrade a server from Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008. If the server is running Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS), you notice that there is one additional cleanup task that is not needed after you perform the upgrade. This additional task does not adversely affect the server. However, it takes more resources to store and to run this task.
Note To upload files, BITS requires Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 on Windows Server 2003 and IIS 7.0 on Windows Server 2008.
