FIX: The .NET Framework Data Provider for mySAP Business Suite returns an error in the Report Project wizard

Symptoms

When you issue a normal query in the Microsoft .NET Provider for SAP Business Suite, you receive the following error message after you receive the query result and you click Next in the Report Project wizard:
Could not generate a list of fields for the query.
Check the query syntax, or click Refresh Fields on the query toolbar.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
An attempt to read was made when positioned at an incorrect row, or when the reader is closed. Ensure that reader is not closed or positioned at an incorrect row. (Microsoft.Data.SAPClient)
This problem occurs if you are using the Microsoft .NET Framework Data Provider for mySAP Business Suite as the data source in the Report Project wizard.

Note If you issue a normal query, the Microsoft .NET Provider for SAP Business Suite returns the query result in the Data tab of the report designer without an error. The error occurs after you click Next in the Report Project wizard.

Resolution

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.

You must have Microsoft BizTalk Adapter Pack v1.0 installed before you apply this hotfix.

You do not need to restart the server after you apply this hotfix.
