A logon from a domain that is not at the Windows Server 2008 domain functional level is blocked when you enable the "Display information about previous logons during user logon" policy setting

Consider the following scenario:

• You enable the Display information about previous logons during user logon policy setting.
• A user tries to log on to a Windows Server 2008 domain from a domain that is not at the Windows Server 2008 domain function level.

In this case, the user logon is blocked.

The Display information about previous logons during user logon policy setting controls whether the system displays a message about previous logons and logon failures to the user. This message must be acknowledged by the user before the user is presented with the Windows desktop.
