Error message when you hot-replace a CPU in a computer that is running the Itanium-based version of Windows Server 2008: "STOP 0x0000007E"

Consider the following scenario. You are running the Itanium-based version of Windows Server 2008 on a computer that supports CPU hot replacement. Then, you hot-replace a CPU in the computer. In this scenario, you receive the following Stop error message:Notes

• The four parameters in this Stop error message vary, depending on the actual configuration.
• Not all "STOP 0x0000007E" errors are caused by this problem.

Hotfix information
