FIX: The SSL IP address of the Web site is changed when you use Commerce Server Staging to deploy a metabase setting to a Web server in Commerce Server 2007

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

In Microsoft Commerce Server 2007, you use Commerce Server Staging (CSS) to deploy a metabase setting to a Web server. When you do this, the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) IP address of the Web site is changed. Additionally, the non-SSL IP address of the Web site is not changed. However, you expect neither IP address to be changed when you deploy a metabase setting to a Web server.

If you do not see your language, it is because a hotfix is not available for that language.

Prerequisites

This hotfix requires Commerce Server 2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1) to be installed on the server because of file dependencies.

Restart requirement

You must restart the CSS service after you apply this hotfix. Additionally, the logon account for the CSS service returns to the default logon account after you apply this hotfix. You must manually change the logon account back to the original value by using one of the following techniques:
  • Run the csconfig.exe /f command, and then apply the appropriate user name and password for the CSS settings.
  • Open the Services snap-in, and then change the user account and the password for the CSS service on the Log On tab.

Hotfix replacement information

This hotfix does not replace any other hotfixes.
