FIX: A segmentation fault error occurs when you run a compiled application that calls the dlopen function on a Windows Server 2003 R2-based computer that has SUA installed

Consider the following scenario:

• You compile an Interix application on a computer that has Microsoft Windows Services for UNIX 3.5 installed.
• You run the compiled application on a Windows Server 2003 R2-based computer that has Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications (SUA) installed.
• The compiled application calls the dlopen function.

In this scenario, a segmentation fault error occurs in the Libc.so.3.5 library or in the Libdl.so.3.5 library.

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
