A report may not display HTTPS traffic in ISA Server 2006

Symptoms

In Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2006, a report may not display HTTPS traffic.

Cause

This behavior occurs because there is an access rule that allows for HTTPS traffic. Therefore, there is no Web proxy log entry for the traffic that originated from the secure network address translation (SecureNAT) client. In this scenario, the HTTPS traffic is not counted.

This behavior does not occur to a secure Web publishing rule because the traffic has a corresponding Web proxy log entry, and the traffic is counted. The HTTPS traffic from the Web Proxy clients is also counted correctly because the Web Proxy handles the traffic.
