Resolution

On a Windows Vista-based computer, you configure the Tabs settings for Internet Explorer 7 as Always open pop-ups in a new tab. In this scenario, you may notice that when a pop-up opens in a new tab, a pop-up blocker appears in the old tab. When the issue occurs, you cannot active the original tab.

Note This problem has been observed on Internet Explorer 7 in Windows Vista. This issue has not been observed in Windows XP SP2 or in Windows Server 2003 SP1. However, there are fixes for Internet Explorer 7 in Windows XP SP2 and in Windows Server 2003 SP1.

  6. Type iexplore.exe, and then press ENTER.
  7. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
