FIX: You cannot modify the polling interval that the BizTalk Accelerator for HIPAA 3.0 uses to check for new EDI files from the COVAST subsystem in BizTalk Server 2004

In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, the Microsoft BizTalk Accelerator for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) 3.0 checks for new EDI files from the COVAST subsystem at 30-second intervals. You cannot configure a shorter polling interval in the user interface or by modifying a database table entry.

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.

Prerequisites

You must have Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 and the Microsoft BizTalk Accelerator for HIPAA 3.0 installed to apply this hotfix.

Restart requirement

You do not have to restart your computer after you apply this hotfix. However, you must restart the HIPAA service and the BizTalk Server service.
