Gameplay differences
- Additional content, such as demos or game trailers, may not work when you play that game on the Xbox 360 console. Selecting one of these items may cause your Xbox 360 console to stop working. If this happens, just restart your system.
- The white and black buttons on the original Xbox controller are the same as the Left Bumper and Right Bumper on the Xbox 360 controller. See the controller maps that are available on http://www.xbox.com for specific controller functions for each game.
- To exit an Xbox Originals game, press the Xbox 360 Guide button, and then press the Y button to exit to the dashboard. Or, press the A button to turn off the console.
- Xbox Originals titles that are designed for a 4:3 (non-widescreen) display will have black boxes on either side of the screen when you play the games at a 720p or higher resolution widescreen display. This configuration avoids distorting the original game images.
- You can't buy premium content for Xbox Originals games by using Microsoft Points. An example of premium content is add-on maps. To buy premium content for Xbox Originals titles, you must have a credit card on file for the Xbox LIVE account that you are using to make the purchase.
Note Publisher logos that appear at the start of a game may appear "choppy" on first play.
Xbox LIVE experience
- Xbox Originals games don't have Achievements or Gamerscore. The original Xbox does not support Achievements, and the Xbox Originals games run like they do on the original console.
- Some Xbox Originals games don't support Xbox LIVE multiplayer gameplay. Visit the game's page at http://www.xbox.com for more information about local and Xbox LIVE multiplayer features.
- You don't get Xbox LIVE notifications, like the notifications you get when your friends log in when you're playing an Xbox Originals game.
- You will be automatically signed out of Xbox LIVE when you start an Xbox Originals game. If the game supports Xbox LIVE, you can re-connect by logging in again through the game.

There is a problem with the game disc you are using, check if the disc is dirty or damaged.
Information about specific games
- Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge: You might see minor flickering at the top of the screen. The “Press A to Continue” message is missing when the host player leaves a multiplayer game.
- Fable: You might hear random bursts of audio static or see some minor texture issues. Also, the game may stop responding for a short time when you remove tattoos.
- Fuzion Frenzy: Some minor frame rate display issues might happen.
- Halo: Some very mild frame rate display issues might happen.
PAL display issues
For customers in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and India:
- Some Xbox Originals games that are designed for use on PAL televisions cannot be used with the VGA AV cable. PAL games that run only at 50Hz or that require an update to support 60Hz will not work with the VGA pack. The VGA AV cable supports only a 60Hz signal. You may have to replace the VGA AV cable with an Xbox 360 Component HD AV cable or with an Advanced SCART AV cable to play these games if one or more of the following conditions are true:
- You receive a message that states that you have to change your display resolution.
- You see only a green or black screen.
- Your console stops responding.
