Conferences may not start in Communicator 2007 Phone Edition

Symptoms

When you set a start time for a conference in Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 Phone Edition, the conference may not start when the start time arrives. Additionally, you find that the start time is set to a time that has passed.

The issue occurs when the Coordinated Universal Time (Greenwich Mean Time) offset is less than or equal to -8.

Cause

This issue occurs because the Coordinated Universal Time offset is not correctly calculated by Office Communicator 2007 Phone Edition.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, install the Office Communicator 2007 Phone Edition update rollup package that is dated December 17, 2007.
