FIX: Error message when you try to validate a message instance against the MT564 schema that is included with BizTalk Accelerator for SWIFT 2007 Message Pack: "Error 235"

Symptoms

In Microsoft BizTalk Accelerator for SWIFT Message Pack 2007, you may receive an error message that resembles the following error message:
Error 235 The 'Date' element is invalid - The value '22071130' is invalid according to its datatype 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/BizTalk/Solutions/FinancialServices/SWIFT/BaseTypes:swiftdate8Type' - The Pattern constraint failed. path\MT564_output.xml
You receive this error message if you try to validate a message instance against the MT564 schema that is included with BizTalk Accelerator for SWIFT Message Pack 2007.

Cause

This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
  • The message instance contains a 98A field.
  • The Date subfield in the 98A field begins with a number sequence other than "19" or "20."

Resolution

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.

Prerequisites

To apply this hotfix, you must have BizTalk Accelerator for SWIFT 2007 Message Pack installed.

Restart requirement

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this hotfix. However, you must restart Internet Information Services (IIS) and the service for the BizTalk Server host instance.

This hotfix does not replace any other hotfixes.
