Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 does not create an e-mail record when you send an e-mail message to a Microsoft Dynamics CRM user

When you send an e-mail message to a Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 user, Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 does not create an e-mail record as expected. This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:

• The Microsoft Dynamics CRM-Exchange E-mail Router is running.
• The user to whom you send the e-mail message has the "e-mail forwarding" rule deployed.
• The e-mail message contains an attachment that is an empty .txt file.

When this problem occurs, the following error message is logged in the application event log on the Microsoft Exchange Server server on which the Microsoft Dynamics CRM-Exchange E-mail Router is deployed:
